These incredible books!

Post by momofgreatones » Fri Jun 11, 2010 11:28 pm

I was blessed to have another box day at my house last week (two actually since they came in two shifts!) When we first began our programs three months ago I could only purchase enough to get us through the first few months. I was finally able to purchase the remainder of our programs last week (having another great experience with HOD's stellar customer service).

What a special time we've had this past week going through our books. I have picked up several of the books and not been able to put them down, from Birds of the Air, Ancient Greece, Exploring Planet Earth, History For Little Pilgrims, Reddy Fox, I could go on. I showed them to my mom today and she was so impressed with them. I came into the room the other night to find my dh engrossed in Famous Men of Rome - and he never reads books! And now here I sit tonight in tears from Fanny Crosby (what a sweet, moving, uplifting book! Can't wait for dd to read it - I will have all my dd's read it, come to think of it! :) )

My heart is just filled with gratitude for this wonderful program, with excellent books, and enriching lesson plans to go with them. So thankful for Carrie and all who makes these programs what they are!

I am going to my hs convention tomorrow and I have such peace knowing I can browse peacefully with no stress from the overwhelming choices, because I've got just what I want right here!

Hooray for multiple box days! :D The books are amazing! HOD really has nailed down the "living book" concept. I confess I've enjoyed reading my dc's books more than my own on many occasions. Have fun going through your things! :D

Oh, Monique! Your post blessed me beyond measure today as I'm a bit weary tonight heading off to bed. :D I love the trip down memory lane that you gave me in sharing about the wonderful books your kiddos will be reading this coming year! :D

This was just the encouragement I needed to persevere and know the Lord will give us what we need as I'm writing. :D We pray that both your convention and your year will be blessed by the Lord. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
