LHTH 4/5 Appendix copy question
Now that I'm done with devouring Beyond, I'm moving on to LHTH. I see in the back there are pages to copy for activities. I am going to go to the copy store either today or tomorrow to make all my copies. Is there anything else throughout the guide I need to copy? Did you copy the "Hide and Seek" letter page or just do it on a separate page? Also, is there a place in the guide that says it's okay for me to make home use copies?
Thanks for your help!

Re: LHTH 4/5 Appendix copy question
I made copies of the "Count on Me" pages, but that was it... I made my own number pages and just let them do the hide and seek letter pages in the book. They just point at the letters.
Re: LHTH 4/5 Appendix copy question
I copied the number pages, the hide and seek pages, and everything in the back. We have a scanner/printer/copier so I just do it as I go.

Hi Cindie,
Just wanted to mention in case you didn't already notice, the alphabet flashcards (found in the LHTH Appendix) are available to print from a PDF link here on the HOD website. That way you can print right from your computer instead of photocopying.

PS-There is a notation in the LHTH guide that states permission is given for the original purchaser to make photocopies to reproduce patterns and reproducibles for individual classroom use or personal use only and not for resale or distribution.![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: LHTH 4/5 Appendix copy question
I made one copy of the Count on Me page for a master and then copied it as we needed it.
Sometimes we copied the Letter page and sometimes i made my own (towards the end of the alphabet).
the Number page i usually traced so i didn't have the box outline on the page.
We also have a copier/scanner so it was easy enough to copy as we went a long.
The flashcards in back.... a friend had just given me a set of alphabet cards when i started LHTH so we used those instead of the back of the book. they were colored picts and had the uppercase and lowercase letters on cards by themselves. We all liked them. We still did the motions of course for the letter sounds. Those would've been inexpensive even if i would had bought them myself somewhere.

Re: LHTH 4/5 Appendix copy question
I went through the guide and stuck a post-it on everything I wanted to copy.
Hide'n'Seek pages
Number Book Pages
Color Book Pages
Count on Me (copied one 35x)
Printed the PDF file of the flashcards
Then I took the guide to an office supply store one night (without kids
) last August to make copies of all the pages. It took me approx. 20 minutes & cost only a few dollars. It was so nice to have all the copies made at the beginning of the year and in order! But that's just me - I like to have everything ready so I don't have an excuse NOT to do it.
I took them home (left them in the order I had copied them) and put them in a file folder on the shelf next to the guide. It was nice to pull a copy from the folder when I needed it. Since the Count on Me pages were in the back of the file together, they were easy to grab for each unit.
I cut out the flashcards and put them on cardstock and then laminated them so they'd last through both girls.![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

Thank you for the help, ladies. You all are fast!
I really appreciate the list you all copied for the year. I didn't realize that there is a PDF on the website, good to know if I need it. I'm going to my local "office" store tomorrow to make the copies for the year.
Thanks again!

Re: LHTH 4/5 Appendix copy question
creativemommy really did a great job of listing exactly what needs to be copied.
For our family we needed all of the copies times 3 or 4, so to save a little money on ink (we have our own copier/scanner)... here are some things we did...
*my girls wrote the numbers for the Number Pages (& the colors on the Color Pages when I ran out of ink)
*instead of copying the "Count on Me Page" 132 times, we took a piece of paper & folded it to make 6 squares (on the "Count on Me" page in the guide, there are 5 squares- but that's what worked for us.
*next year, I plan to use a clear page protector & a dry-erase board marker for the "Hide & Seek" letter pages
So- if amy of these ideas work for you- great- otherwise copy away & I am sure you will be glad you did!![Very Happy :D](./images/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif)

Re: LHTH 4/5 Appendix copy question
I just wanted to clarify that the Count on Me page is actually only copied once each week, or 33 times.
