I just wanted to pop-in and welcome you too! We're glad you're here! :D We pray that Beyond and LHTH will be a blessing to your family. We used both of these programs this year with our own boys and really enjoyed our year. :D

:D Welcome Tink! :D

I remember excitedly starting out with HOD... :D And now looking forward to my 3rd year with it, I'm still super-excited!! :D Now I know the kind of Christ-centered, fun-filled, memory-making days that are in store for us. You'll have a great year with your girls I'm sure! We have LOVED LHTH here...and Beyond is one of the programs I haven't done yet, but am anticipating starting sometime mid-year. :D You'll have to share your fun on the Weekly-check-in thread when you get going. I love to read about everyone's weeks there! You could even go take a peek to see the fun that's in store for you.

tinkhs,

Welcome! We are doing exactly the same things as you next year! :D We are just finishing up Little Hearts with my 6 year old daughter for kindergarten. We will be doing Beyond next year for her for first grade. She will be 7 on Sept 1.

Funny story....... Before we decided to homeschool, my daughter was in a half day preschool program. It was a really good preschool that was run by some sweet Christian ladies. She enjoyed herself there, but honestly, she didn't learn much. Well, I had planned on letting my 4 year old son go this next year (he will be 5 in Oct), just for fun and to have something that is just "his", since he has always had to tag along with her. Well, when I told her, she had a fit! She said "Mommy, I want you to get him some books and do school with him too!" So, when we placed our Beyond order, we placed our Little Hands order too.

Needless to say, we have had a great first year and are looking forward to next year. :D We love HOD! :D

Have a blessed evening,
Christy :D

We are doing Beyond and LHTH in August also. I am so excited. My dds were in a home school "preschool" (Prek-K for field trips and playing with other children) on Thursdays, but they are so excited to be home full time now too. Jordan could go back in August, but she doesn't want to. She wants to do her school just like sister, so we are doing the same thing! I can't wait for the weekly check-ins to start and she how we are all doing. :D
