Beyond question

Post by Cindie2dds » Fri May 21, 2010 10:10 am

I noticed there is a "Girl's Interest, Boy's Interest, and Classic Set." Can you pick and choose individual books from each set to use? I don't use them all, right? There are a couple in there I think my 6 year old would like, but not each complete set. Does that make sense?

Thanks for your help!

Yes, you can pick and choose from each set. You just have to make sure that you have one from each genre. You do not have to use them all, no. I picked one from each genre out of the 3 sets and the other ones are on our read aloud list for summer and at night. HTH! :D

The questions aren't specific enough? It doesn't matter as long as there is one from each genre?

Thank you!

The questions are general enough that they will work with any book within that genre. It makes for wonderful flexibility!

You need to have a book from each genre, but you do not have to stick with one "set"...boys, girls, classic. We mix it up. Once you decide what books you want to use, you might contact Mike and see if he can put together a package deal for you with the books you want in it.

Also, if you are struggling with what to choose, Mike is great to help you with recommendations. I have a child who is above average and one who has special needs, but they both work from the same guide. He was able to help me choose books that challenge the one without frustrating the other.

Ha! And we thought Carrie did all the work!

Thank you. I've actually got a lot of the books listed in the guide, just not the exact "set" as is. I'm excited now!
