I didn't read the other replies, so hopefully I'm not repeating much, but this TOTALLY fits us. We have a smallish house (1200 square feet), and not garage and no basement. I will share what I have found helpful for us! :D

1) stick to the basics. In other words, if you don't need it, you don't need it. So, if the kitchen table works, then why get a desk and add more "clutter" to your space. Been there, done that, and I got rid of the desk!!! :lol:

2) Have things readily available if possible. We have a cabinet that I bought specifically for craft stuff/homeschool stuff right by our kitchen table. The stuff that we use weekly/daily goes in there. I have another cabinet in my bedroom that has stuff that we have already used or will use in the future that I need to hold onto.

3) Maximize your space with vertical storage. A tall skinny cabinet is better than a short fat one! :-)

These have been the biggest help for us!
