My 6 year old got a big girl Bible for her birthday and...

She is working diligently to underline all her HOD memory verses. How great is that! 8) It really does translate into a life habit of loving the Word. I was so excited to catch her doing that this morning. :D Thank God we found HOD!

That is so precious! I just love how HOD translates into other areas of our lives. Getting a big girl Bible is a pretty big deal around here too. It involves a trip to the bookstore alone with Daddy for the Bible, cover, highlighters etc. DD3 is soon to have her turn. Thanks for sharing!

I love to hear that! She will be so glad she did. I have actually begun to hi-light all of them in my Bible too, as I know them all by heart too and love them as much as my dc do! :D When they are hi-lighted like that, it's neat to look back over and see how much has been committed to memory. I'm so proud of your dd for taking the time to do this! :D

When my son was done with the Emergent Reader Program he got his "Adult Bible" on a special date night and he was ever so excited. :D At the beginning of the year I had this great idea  of having my son high light all the verses he has memorized and he asked if I could get another Bible, because he did not want any writing in his Bible :( So we ended up getting a cheap Bible in our translation that we use for school to highlight in :) .
So, interesting to see the different personalities come out. :D
