First time using Little Hands to Heaven

Post by MamaBear23Cubs » Sat Jan 12, 2008 6:25 am

A friend of mine showed me the book that she was using for her preschoolers. It was LHTH. I came across the book while searching for preschool curriculums and was interested. It was great to find one in the area using it. With in about two weeks I had my own copy of LHTH.
My preschoolers are going to be 3 and 4 this year. They like having their own schoolwork and are excited when I bring out their preschool box. It contains what I need for the week and the book. We haven't gone far into the book. We are on letter E. So far it is working out very well for them.
One of my favorite parts of using this curriculum is not having a bunch of paper that I will end up recylcing at the end of the school year. My oldest is a workbook kid. I also like that it is simple and very easy to use. It's all there in the book. We go from couch to floor to table with just one book.

Hi! I'm looking to purchase LHTH for my 16 month old. I know it's early, so we'd probably go through it more than once as he gets older.
Anyway, did you buy all of the supplemental materials?

Hi Ladies!
MamaBear23Cubs- I am so glad you are enjoying LHTH! We are enjoying it at our house too- it is such a blessing! It is perfect for my 2-5 year-olds! :D :D We really enjoy the lay-out too, & are so glad to have found a curriculum that teaches little minds & hearts about God!

stephaniesherie-I think it is great you are already looking into things for your little 16-month old. He will certainly enjoy it- :D It will be fun to see how much he learns & grows as he goes through the guides (once, twice...). We have gotten all of the supplemental materials & are so thankful we did! The Bible is sweet & perfect for their age & the devotional has been fun for our children to go through (they really like the pictures & answering the questions about the little story). We plan to get the other Bible & devotional for next year as we take another trip through LHTH. We have also really enjoyed "The Singing Bible". We have enjoyed listening, dancing, & playing instruments to the music.
It is all so much fun & centered on God!

Have a great day!
Jessica

Thanks Jessica!
We have Hide 'Em In Your Heart CD/DVD by Steve Green and it's awesome. I love anything with bible verses in the music.

I am looking at the package deal. I'll have more time wth him this summer and now that he is 18 months I hope he'll get something out of it. He's so busy and I know don't know how much he would absorb of it right now.

Ladies,

I'll just move this thread over to the Main Board where more moms will have a chance to see it. :D The folder in which the original post was added is actually for testimonial-type reviews of Little Hands to Heaven instead. All new posts and threads begin on the Main Board. :D

We pray you'll enjoy Little Hands to Heaven as much as we do with our own sons! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
