Post by stampalot » Mon Apr 19, 2010 12:04 am

Looking at utilizing a 5 day a week schedule for Preparing to finish sooner. Suggestions? Thank you! Lisa

It would probably help to know your reasoning behind wanting to finish early and your child's abilities, to help the ladies give a better picture in how to help you figure it out.

After reading Carries posts on "7th grade and Preparing" I think I answered my own doubts. we are beefing it up for 6th grade boy and calling it 7th grade when we need to. :)

Has it been that long ago we heard Carrie at convention and I bought and used LHTH with my boys.sniff sniff, now they are taller than me with hints of mustaches xoxo

God bless the Austin family with health and wisdom from above.

I am glad you found the answer! May God be your guide and give you peace as you continue to faithfully serve by homeschooling even when times get hard. Much success and I can't wait to get to Preparing while I am savoring every moment in Bigger!

Lisa,

Oh my! How time does fly, doesn't it?!? :D My oldest is getting so tall too. :D I'm glad that you got your question answered. We actually did Preparing Hearts 5 days a week last year with my third son and it worked fine, however if you're adding options to beef up Preparing Hearts for an older student, there would be no need to hustle through the guide. We needed to start our school year later last year than we wanted due to several vacations that were close together, family visiting, and some health issues, so we did Preparing as a 5 day plan and still finished early for the year. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

We did CTC (which is a 4 day a week schedule) 5 days a week and are finishing early this year now. It worked great! :D
