I'm planning on using Beyond with my 2nd grader in the fall and was also thinking of using DITHOR 2/3 as he is a good reader. Would I use both on a daily basis? How long would DITHOR take with a second grader a day?

Hi Stephanie...

That is exactly what we did this year. My daughter is using Beyond as 2nd grade and is using DITHOR 2/3. It is going super! We do DITHOR everyday in the morning, after math, and it takes about 20 minutes on average. She has really grown as an "out loud" reader this year because of it, and seems to enjoy it. Since she is on the young side of DITHOR, we usually do the student manual together, but next year I can see that she will be better able to do more on her own.

Yes, we did use the Level 2 book pack. It has been excellent!
