Left Side of Plans?

New to HOD and deciding which level to go with.
Would love to combine my K with my advanced 2nd (seperate Math/LA of course). Looks like in order to stay on track my 2nd needs to be in Bigger.
So..any ideas on combining the 2 kiddo's?
And what's the "left side" of the plans? The history/science/bible part?

Welcome to HOD! This is a great place to get insight and advice about placement.
You are right that the "left side" is the Bible/History/Music/Poetry and 'Rotating Box' (it rotates between Geography, Art, History Activity). The right side has Language arts/Math/Storytime and Reading.

Are your dc in K and 2nd this year? So you'd like to do Bigger for 3rd grade and 1st?

I know it is possible to combine in most situations but it all depends on each family's goals for each child (thus the beauty of homeschooling!)
There are ladies with more experience who will jump in here soon I am sure. It might be helpful if they had a little more info as to where your dc fall on the placement chart.

Hello! Welcome to HOD! I LOVE it and so does my ds. We are currently doing Bigger with my 4th grader and it has been super. I would hesitate putting both your Ker and your 2nd together for this. Usually the gals on here advise to NOT combine with the oldest but to pick the curriculum to the youngest. It is always easier to add to then to simplify for the little one. You would have to leave out a lot in Bigger for your Ker which might put you back in the same situation of planning your own curriculum everyday. That is one of the things I love about HOD- it's open and go and I don't have to do a lot of planning. Bigger has a lot of oral reading and a lot of writing for a Ker. I would definitely look to the placement chart to see where your kiddos place and that will help us to help you. The ladies on here are very helpful in placement and combining suggestions.
