What is God's Design for My Body?

Post by Alison in KY » Wed Mar 31, 2010 6:41 am

Does this book cover the basics of changing bodies and how sex works? I'd like a good book to use with my maturing oldest.

I would say this book does that, but it also weaves in God's plan so wonderfully that it takes it from a technical aspect and actually makes it beautiful which I find refreshing in our world where sex and the changing bodies is the source of selling ads and comedy shows.

I bought this book a year a go with the other two in the series and my children have enjoyed the other two books. My oldest will soon be ready for this book so I was so excited to see it scheduled in RTR next year.

I hope this helps and others might have a better review of it!

Alison,

Mamaloves4 did a great job of answering your questions! I'll link you to the description on our website of this book as well. :D Link: http://www.heartofdakota.com/rtr_hearts ... ods-design

From Boy to Man and From Girl to Woman are also used to talk about kiddo's changing bodies. Together, combined with God's Design for My Body, these two resources will lay out the unique way God designed men and women to be different from one another and also God's plan for marriage. We have used the boy versions with our own son and had a wonderfully Biblical discussion about these potentially embarassing topics in a way that was so different from the way the public school foisted the facts of life upon me when I was in sixth grade. The books go into just enough detail for your children to fully understand the meaning, yet keep the content focused on God's plan for us and the joy that following His plan will bring to our lives. We pray that these books may bless your family as much as they have blessed ours! :D

Hope that helps!

Blessings,
Carrie

Is that one long title, or two different books? I looked up the first From Boy to Man book and I didn't see what we are looking for...I saw a close title but it was on something different.

Thank you.

Alison,

It's two separate titles. Here's the link on our website: http://www.heartofdakota.com/rtr_hearts ... hp#boy-man
http://www.heartofdakota.com/rtr_hearts ... girl-woman

These are used in conjunction with What is God's Design for My Body? :D

Blessings,
Carrie
