I was listening to a CD today of a workshop at a homeschool convention 2 years ago. The speaker was on the topic of learning styles and gave methods to teach subjects like reading, spelling, and writing for the 3 main learning styles. Many of her examples made me think of the way HOD has the student learning in areas of reading, writing, and spelling. Also, the variety HOD gives to reach any type of learner. I wouldn't mind reading her book since she could only cover a little in 50 minutes. But, I heard enough to reaffirm to me that, although we haven't officially begun HOD (I do have my Beyond guide

, I am confident that when my daughter is back to homeschooling, we will succeed. I wish I would have had this when my others were homeschoolers. I feel like they missed out, as far as 'having fun learning'. I've already mentioned HOD to my daughter-in-law, who anticipates homeschooling my grandson, who is only 6.5 months old

I was looking at the directory of our local homeschool group. I didn't see one family that uses HOD. I'm going to have to make this known. Just putting a plug in for those pondering whether or not to order.
I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth. III John 4
