I GOT MY BOXES!!!

Post by NoodleMom » Sat Feb 13, 2010 12:38 pm

I got my books yesterday!!! I am so excited! HubbyMan, the kiddos and I went thru all the books and oooohhhed and aaahhhhed over them. So many good and interesting books I dont know where to start. I cant wait to begin. I think I am going to just do it one page a day till we get the hang of it. Left on Monday, right on Tuesday and so on and so on.

Drawn into the Heart of Reading. I love all the books we received. I think that I overestimated what level to get for my kids. I think I should have stayed with 4-5 for the two and 2-3 for the other two. Uffda! A question for Carrie I think. I know that 6-7-8 is going to be rough for them and 4-5 will be also for the others.
Can I order 2-3? Will it go with Preparing?

At any rate I am thrilled!! I have studied the first unit and really like what I see. Great job Carrie. Cant wait till Monday!

Hi Kasey,

I'm not Carrie, but we are using DITHR 2/3 with Preparing. It's works out fine. I also just wanted my dc to really be DITHR not overwhelmed because I chose books that would be a chore to read. My older ones have on their own picked up my younger ones DITHR books. So, let them lay around and see what happens!
I look forward to hearing how you enjoy your first week of Preparing!

After spending all weekend pouring over my new books all I can really say is I am very impressed with the quality of the books I received. These are books that I will keep on my shelves for a long long while. Again Carrie, thank you.

Hi Kasey! Hooray for the boxes arriving! :D I am always glad to see the HOD books slowly building my home library shelves as well. As juliekay said, you can definitely use any level of DITHOR with any level of book packs, along with any level of HOD core guides. I love that flexibility! Anyway, have fun looking through your things, but get the books out of sight of the dc soon or they'll probably be unable to resist reading them! That seems to be the case at our house.

Yes I was informed by dd that she is reading one already. Guess that one will be her first book for reading.

Kasey,

I'm so glad that you have your boxes in hand. I'm so sorry I'm late to the thread. We've been hard at work on getting the new product ready for launch on the website (along with our excellent web designer) and getting the updates made to the catalog (with our hard-working graphic designer). :D These two projects are taking much of my time these days but are well worth it! :D

As far as your DITHR books go, feel free to send back any that you won't need and re-order what you prefer instead. The 2/3 level will work just fine with Preparing Hearts. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
