Last year I had started my ds (who is currently 8 (9 in May) )in Singapore 1A. He didn't really seem to be grasping it very well and we put it aside.
For this year I ordered the Kindergarten 2A and 2B package from HOD for my him and my 6yo dd. He just finished those up and my 6yo also has only a few pages left. We are still struggling to get started with Beyond, so we are at the beginning of the guide which has the lessons for 1A.
I probably got about half way through 1A with my ds last year.
My question is:
Should I start him back at the beginning of 1A with the HOD lesson activities since he seems to now be able to grasp the concepts after successfully completely the K program? Or, should I just pick up where we left off at in 1A?
I will also be starting my 6yo in 1A, but I am not sure if she will be able to progress on schedule or will need to stick with a concept for a while.
You suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
Thank you!

Re: Singapore Question...
Terri,
I think I would revisit all of 1A. You may be able to move through it quickly, but since it was a bit of a struggle the review may prove to be a confidence booster.

Re: Singapore Question...
I agree with Florence, and I also think you may be able to move him through it more quickly now that he has the foundation of Kind. 2A/2B to build on.
Have you thought about doing Beyond half-speed for a bit and then going full-speed? I know you are expecting now, and may be overly tired and stressed. I think doing Beyond daily even half-speed would help get a routine going and alleviate some stress overall. Just an idea - praying for you and your pregnancy, Terri!

Re: Singapore Question...
mommyintraining,
I agree with the ladies´wise advice and would go back to the beginning of 1A to cement the skills and make sure your little honey continues on the successful path already underway! You can move more quickly if needed, but don´t be too hasty either. Little ones need time to bask in success and understanding too.
Everything shouldn´t always be on the hardest level.
Blessings,
Carrie
