Hopefully you will see a picture that I took last fall of the east view from my kitchen of our "Locust Creek Ranch".

If this works, I will do "people" picures next! :D

My ds on his horse. This is when he is his happiest! I think the horse's name is Sonny. He has two he likes to ride, Sonny and Buzz, and they look very much alike.

These are the only 2 photos I had on my hard drive, so now I have to figure out how to upload from my memory stick..........any bets on how many days that will take?!?

ps...LoriJo, you can just come on over anytime!! It's all covered with snow right now.

Okay...I don't have a photobucket account. How do you post the pictures straight from your file? I tried last night but was unsuccessful! I know hubby could help if he were here, but he's out of state until next Friday evening. Any suggestions?

You all are so sweet! You can all move up here....the people to critter ratio is very unbalanced!

InHisTiming...first we have got to give you one of those Mary nicknames. I'm going with IHT until I think of something cuter! Photobucket acct.s are FREE :D and it's pretty easy, only took me 3 days.

I want to apologize though for the size of my first picture....it is totally messing up this thread. :?

OK Julie...tag.....you're it............I'm giving you til next Thursday!!

Woohoo, Melanie!! :D You did it!

I am seriously going to try this this weekend, too. I actually took pics of my kids this week, have them on the computer, now all I have to try to do is get them in photobucket and on a post...right?

(Out here in the sticks...with our cows...we haven't figured out all this fancy computer stuff! LOL)

I'm frightened to try this after my lengthy fiasco with the "quote" feature - but just for you m' dear', I'm giving it a shot! I loved your pictures! Your son looks right at home on that beautiful horse. I think our sons would be good friends. We're in a similar setting as you, though we don't own any horses. Just down the road there are about 50 horses grazing on a ranch though, and my family loves to watch them run.

My dh is outside right now with 5 boys (3 our cousins) giving 3 wheeler rides and sled rides. He has attached the sled to the 3-wheeler. It is better for me to be looking at the computer, I do believe! Our snow is melting, so this could be a very wet day for us! If I get this photo thing figured out eventually, I'll post some pics!

Blessings,
Julie

I'm cracking up! We do have a different kind of life, don't we.

It you transfer your pics to your hard drive, it seems to be easier. I have yet to attempt any other type of transfer. I hope to work on it tonight.

Julie...you are too funny! You can do it. Just repeat after me...I think I can, I think I can.... :D

Our "get-up" here is an old side car from a snowmobile hooked up to the Gator (John Deere 4-wheel drive thingy) so I know exactly what you mean....just don't watch! I only have the one boy, but my girls are tom-boys to the max! They got me in that rig once, and we got stuck.

Our snow is melting today also. I can see the ground! We live on a one-lane dirt-gravel road and when it thaws....yikes! Very greasy!

I figured out how to shrink my pic....but got it too small this time. I went back and tried to make it a little bigger and can't. So here is my tip for the day  don't shrink to the avatar size or any size to small b/c you can't go back and change it. It's good to know.

Melanie, (oops I said Candice before - so sorry )

I'm coming to this thread late, and couldn't figure out how people were seeing anything in that first picture of yours, as it looks quite small now. I thought maybe they were really using their imaginations, and I needed to try harder to "see" your beautiful view. I really did look several times trying to make out your ranch and the landscape!

I'm laughing very hard now, as I realize from your comments that the original posted picture must have been much larger!  That's what I get for reading posts while my kiddos are roaring around. Lack of focus!

Blessings,
Carrie
