I just saw your post on HSR also. Anytime you hear this, "yes, yes, yes!" (concerning actual schoolwork), I think you are on the right track!

Haha! I could have written your post last Spring. My older son (10) is more than mildly ADHD - and talking non-stop is something we have grown very used to around here. It.just.never.ends! Anyway, I came to HOD for History and Science as well. When I purchased it, I thought I would only do those two (we are doing Bigger this year as well). We were settled into our Bible with CLE and we were doing dictation/narration with WWE. So, I got it and I started....and then, I fell in love. It was easy for me to see just how cohesive HOD is and how well it flows when you don't take it apart. Over the weeks, I added more and more HOD and got rid of more and more of the other stuff. Now, other than using CLE for Spanish, English, and Math as well as Igniting your Writing I, and a typing program, we use all HOD. It is just TOO Good!

So...yes, I think you should get HOD for histoy and science! :) Just be forewarned that it can cause rapid "dropping" of other materials.

That is too funny!
I'm ready for something to "wow" us like that and I really suspect that my ds will be excited. Afterall, he still remembers the "taste" of HOD that he got last spring. I'm open to changing if need be. I'm at the point now that things will have to go smoother or we will have to throw in the towel on homeschooling. My ds is not horribly bad or anything, but I'm not getting any younger and my blood pressure is starting to rise.

At 45, I've got to have a streamlined school and have time for all that exercise, eating right and all that good stuff! Plus hair color, let's not forget that! ha! ha!
Thanks all, I'm sure I'm gonna learn lots from you all.

Tina,

I just wanted to pop-in and welcome you too! I think your plan sounds great. As you've already discovered, the ladies on the board are terrific about giving advice and encouraging one another. We're so glad to have you here and back to HOD! :D

Blessings,
Carrie
