Hi, I just started The Reading Lesson with my ds6 and was surprised to see there are workbook pages within. I guess that means it's consumable and I will have to buy a new book for every child? What about when I teach two at a time? Will they each need their own book?
How have others dealt with this? I thought about just talking through the work pages with our fingers, but it doesn't seem as effective. It looked like too many pages to try to copy. In the long run it might just be easier to buy new books.
I am however pleasantly surprised how well his is doing breezing through lesson one after struggling last year with 100 EZ lessons. We set it aside after lesson 30 last winter. I'm glad now he seems ready to progress. We like The Reading Lesson and the CD.
Thanks for the recommendation.

We do some with fingers.
Sometimes I'll put a clear transparency sheet over it and have the kids write on that.

We have just copied the few that are to be written on. It's a few per lesson at first, and now we're on lesson 7, it's only one to copy. HTH

Re: The Reading Lesson: consumable?
I've been copying the worksheet pages too since I plan on using the book next year with my K-er.

Re: The Reading Lesson: consumable?
Most moms just purchase one book and use it with all of their kiddos.
I'm thinking that the book's copyright does not allow for making copies, but it would be a good idea to check inside the book cover to read over it's copyright and see. If no copying is allowed, then it would work well to just use a plastic page protector paperclipped to the page with a dry erase marker and eraser instead.
Blessings,
Carrie
