I searched for this thread but could not find an answer. How do you use the extensions with CTC? Do you replace the history or girl interest or do you read all of the packages??

I don't think the extensions replace any of the reading sets...they are additional, from what I understand. The scheduling of the extension items is in the CtC manual....
DS 11 Finished CtoC! Moving on to RtoR!
DD 9 Preparing- Hoping to give her the best year possible, and sticking to the guide as written!
DS 4 All About Reading, R&S preschool workbooks, maybe some Little Hands

Lovetobehome did a great job of helping you! The Extension Pack is scheduled in the Appendix of CTC for an older student to read independently to extend the history learning in CTC. It includes daily assigned reading passages and general guidelines for following up the readings with a combination of oral narration/written narration/notebooking.
The Basic Package is meant to be read aloud to the student by the parent. It includes your choice of one of the following sets: Girl Interest, Boy Interest, or History Interest.
Hope that helps!
Blessings,
Carrie
