Astronomy

Post by Polly » Tue Sep 08, 2009 3:53 pm

I was just looking through the S&S for the guides and I don't see astronomy listed as being studied. Are there plans to include astronomy in any of the guides?

Thanks,

Polly

Polly,

Little Hearts and Beyond both address astronomy through the CLP text and by experiments on the sun, moon, planets, seasons, etc. Bigger Hearts dips into it through Science in Colonial America and the science of that time. Preparing Hearts hits it pretty hard through the book Find the Constellations and its corresonding activities. Once you get to CTC, the guides go into covering science more topically. So, CTC focuses on life science. The next guide, RTR, will focus on earth science (which is the area in which astronomy falls). So, we will hit it again then. :D

Blessings,
Carrie
