I'm So Excited - I Just Placed My Order for Beyond!

Post by madlib » Sat Feb 23, 2008 8:44 am

Hi Ladies!

I just placed my order for Beyond and I had to share my excitement with someone - dh doesn't quite understand how I can get so worked up about curriculum. I orderd the entire Beyond package to use for dd who will be in 2nd grade next year. I also bought the deluxe classic set for read alouds and the emerging readers set. I can't wait to get everything. I really feel that this is God's answer to prayer for us. This has been our first year hsing and I haven't been overly thrilled with the choices I made. I really hope that I have found what is going to work for all of us. I won't be able to start using Beyond until July or August but I wanted to go ahead and have it in my hands so I could start reading through it and organizing my thoughts. I am having my 3rd dd in about 10 weeks and will be out of commission for a couple of months.

Sorry for the long post. I am just so thrilled to jump on the HOD bandwagon. Thank goodness for all the posts on the HSR board or I never would have found it. Have a blessed weekend!

Yea, Robin!! :D Sounds like we'll be both starting Beyond at the same time....and I can't wait either! I have everything except the emerging readers and our books for storytime, but I'm going to have to mix-n-match with those.

And I agree, husbands just do not understand...

Best wishes on your pregnancy as well...those last weeks always seem to just drag by, so maybe looking at your new stuff will help pass the time.

Robin,

It sounds like you are having lots of goodies showing up at your doorstep soon, how fun! All of those readers and read alouds, yummy!

My husband is the same about curricula talk/purchases. His reply is typically, "uh-huh". I usually ask, are you listening, and he will just plainly tell me that he does not get excited about all that stuff like I do. Well, guess that is why we have this forum!

Congratulations on upcoming baby girl #3, how blessed you are!

(We have 2 girls now, I would sooooo love 3!)

Robin,

Just wanted to share in your excitement! We loved doing "Beyond..." last year, and I'll get to do it twice more with sons 3 and 4! :D

We pray that it may be a blessing to your family as well!

Blessings,
Carrie

Thanks for all the congrats on the upcoming baby. I think this curriculum will be perfect for us with the new baby and all. I love how it looks to be so open and go. I also think that my 3 yo dd will love listening along to all the read alouds. Now I just have to wait on the mail man to deliver my package.

Have a great day!
