My mom just called. The doctors totally changed their tune today. The cancer is in the early stages and CAN be treated surgically.
Praise HIM.., Praise HIM!
"There is NO ONE like the God of Israel. He rides across the heavens to help, across the skies in majestic splendor. The Eternal God is your (MY) refuge and underneath are the EVERLASTING arms!" Duet 33:26-27a
He probably will have to have chemo and possibly "some" radiation, but this is definitely a different story today!
I am so happy. I have been sick today as I pass a kidney stone and this news makes even a kidney stone a happy event! Thank YOU so much for your prayers and words of encouragement! I am forever grateful!
Mary, doing a percocet induced happy dance! (because of kidney stone

Prayer is powerful, and where 2 or 3 are gathered there He is in the midst of them (even when we "gather" here on the HOD board)! Let us praise the Lord for His answer to prayer! I will continue to pray for your dad, and also for you, Mary. Kidney stones can be so painful - please pamper yourself so you may recover fully. But for now, we celebrate God's goodness in answering our prayers about your father!!!

LOL, for those who do not have any idea what Ann is talking about..., I have MANY kidney stones. I had approx ten large stones and they did Lithotripsy to break them up. Now I have a multitude of smaller stones. (innumerable)
With that said the coke and asparagus (holistic tx) works best on larger stones.

Mary,
The Lord definitely hears our prayers and answers them. What a blessing His answer is for your Father. We'll continue to keep your dad in our prayers.
I always envision the angels in heaven taking note about the number of prayers they are hearing being offered up for a specific person (whenever many are praying for someone in need by name). I picture it much as it was described in "This Present Darkness", if any of you have ever read that book. There is power in prayer and going before our heavenly Father with our prayers is a privilege we are so blessed to have!
Blessings,
Carrie

Mary,
So glad to hear about your Dad!!
Sorry for the pain you've been having. I've not had kidney stones, but have had gall stones and they are TERRIBLE, so I can empathize! The coke/asparaus remedy sounds much better than the apple juice/olive oil/lemon juice remedy I took for gall stones.... YUCK!!!! Praying you be feeling better soon!
Love
