WOW!!! CTC guide!

Post by mamaloves4 » Wed Aug 05, 2009 9:54 am

My CTC guide came this morning! Wow! It is so great to have it in my hands. I love it! And the student pages are fantastic! Just beautiful and so sturdy! We cannot wait to get started next week. My dh and I are going on a little trip, just the two of us, I wonder if sneak in the guide along and read it here and there!

Carrie, thanks for such a great guide and also for all your love and tears poured into it!

May the Lord bless you,
Jess

I just got mine today and I have been pouring over it for the last hour! Oh, it looks so awesome!!! The notebook pages are just beautiful, LOVE the maps! The TM is just so complete. The appendix has detailed descriptions on how to do narrations, both oral and written which is so helpful. We are doing the extension package, and the full schedule at the back is great. Carrie also gives details on how to make sure the student fully comprehends the independent reading for the extension books by doing oral and written and narrations, draw pictures to go with the pages read, etc. I love how the boxes give a symbol to let you know if the student is to do that activity independently or with the teacher. These are just a few things I am excited about.

It is going to be a great year! :D Happy box day to the rest of you, I know it will be worth the wait when your packages come!

YEAH!!!! :D I can't believe that some of you have the CTC guide and Student Notebook pages in hand! :D It gives me shivers to know you're holding them and pouring over them.

We have much love and adoration for our Savior flowing from those guides, and we pray that they will glorify our Savior above all. It is a tremendous responsibility to write a guide dealing with the time period in which the promised Savior lived and died. We pray we have done the task in a way worthy of our Lord. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Mine is here! Wow! You should see the notebooking pages. They are such a nice weight, so colorful (just beautiful). My daughter is beside herself! Thank you, Carrie! (and Julie too!) I am so glad I did not just use what I had for her.

I got my CTC this afternoon and have been poring over it ever since! I have to say, it totally meets, even surpasses my expectations. This is the kind of education I have wanted to give my kids since starting homeschooling 5 or 6 years ago, but never felt equipped to do. Now I do! This manual and the activities in it are so deep, yet so doable. I love how Carrie walks the student through the independent activities, breaking them down for them so they can complete them and feel successful. I think my daughter will love it. I love how solidly biblical it is. I had previously planned on doing Rod and Staff Bible, but now I have no doubt that CTC will provide my daughter with a firm biblical education this year.

I feel such confirmation at making the right decision after so much thought and prayer. I feel such peace (and excitement) about starting our schoolyear . I also received my LHGHG package yesterday and, again, deep yet simple and doable-not overwhelming. Love it! Thanks, Carrie!

I got mine in GA today and it looks great! Wonderful job Carrie. We are excited to use it when we do and I know it is going to be the best Ancients program on the market. It looks fabulous! I knew it would but it's even better than I imagined. Great job! Thanks for all your hard work! :D

I got mine too and I am so impressed. My 15 year old daughter who is studying Ancient History in another program (high school age) was wanting to do the program with her 5th grad brother! So, maybe she'll join in a few activities too! Thanks, Carrie--great look, great quality, great content. We can't wait to start.

Ooh this warms my heart! :D Hopefully most of you have your CTC guides in hand by now and are pouring over them! I for one do not want to look at CTC for awhile, as I have many household chores that have piled up requiring (or rather demanding) my attention.

Blessings,
Carrie
