CTC Generations

Post by 8arrows » Mon Aug 03, 2009 8:30 pm

I went ahead and started my daughter slowly on CTC from the first week on the board until my CTC arrives. On the independent history generations flip-book it lists a specific number of daughters and sons for Adam. What is the source used for this information? I want to be able to answer my children's questions. I was only aware of that he had other sons and daughters from the Genesis 5 account.

By the way, she really liked everything we did. She is excited about her new books.

It is tradition. It is contained as a footnote in the works of Josephus and states...

The number of Adam's children, as says the old tradition, was thirty-three sons and twenty-three daughters.

Chapter 2, page 13 The Works of Flavius Josephus.

I would just teach it as oral tradition and that there is no real way to know.

That is what I was guessing. Thank you, Daisy.
