Beyond / Bigger Memory Verse question

Hello.

My kids will be doing the left page of Beyond, but my dd will be doing the right page of Bigger. I have opted to have her also follow the Bigger model for memory verses which has the student copy the memory verse on an index card to be stored on a ring or in an index card binder. Is there any reason not to copy the verses into a separate composition book or spiral dedicated to memory verses??

I am going to try the index cards attached to a ring and see how that goes. I know other people have mentioned writing out the verses on a 4 x 6 index card and then putting them in one of those plastic mini-photo albums you can find at Walmart/Target. Sounds like you can do whatever you think will help your daughter memorize the verses the most! HTH!

I did Bigger this past year, and I can tell you that the memory verses in Bigger that are copied aren't used for anything specific. Your child could just look back on/remember them on their own. So, knowing that, copying them in a notebook would be just fine if that's what you want to do!

I know that Carrie is headed to a conference in Atlanta this weekend, so I'm guessing that it may be a few days before she's on the board again.

That DOES help. thanks! We picked up a beautiful spiral from Mardel with "A Forever Princess of the King of Kings" scrolled on the front. The cover AND spiral are in deep pinks. I thought it would be appropriate to write His word in her special notebook. That will be perfect... now if only it were a composition book. Sigh... it will be fine.

I'm just checking in for a few minutes this evening and am so glad that the ladies were able to help you with your questions. Aren't the ladies on the board terrific! It sounds like you have just the right thing for your sweet daughter to record her special memory verses for this year!

We just happened to use a spiral bound index card booklet one year and a hardbound-lined journal type book a different year. Both worked well!

We used a brightly colored spiral 3x5 index card thingy.
My son loved it. He reads it all the time, too. Carries it up to his room. Takes it in the car sometimes.
