Christina,
I just wanted to pop-in and welcome you to the board!

Here is a part of a past thread on supply lists that explains why we chose not to put one within our guides:
"I am a list maker as well, but this is one list that would be confusing to make at best. The guides suggest many substitutions and, from the suggested substitutions, I can easily come up with even more substitutions based on the ideas given. For example, the guide said chocolate chips or raisins (which we usually have both on hand but didn't for some strange reason), so we used cocoa puffs. One time we didn't have a bean bag, so we used the rolled sock idea. If I'd been using a list, I'd have gone out and bought bean bags, etc., which I didn't really need anyway. So, long story short, it makes perfect sense not to have a list but instead to appreciate the activities being written in such a way that we do have the things on hand or we have the ability to logically make a substitution. Just try it, you'll see it works great. Of course, you are welcome to do whatever you feel you need to make your school year run smoothly."
We also pay extra to have our guides lay-flat and have a stitched binding that stands the test of time. We did previously offer the guide in spiral binding and had many moms request a more durable type of book, as the covers come off easily when spiral bound. So, we now have a lay-flat binding that is very durable.
We pray that you'll enjoy LHTH as much as we have. We'll be doing it this year ourselves with our own son who is fourth in line at our house! We're looking forward to it!
Blessings,
Carrie
