Have any of you used Singapore Standards?

Post by pbt1294 » Mon May 11, 2009 1:40 pm

Have any of you HOD moms used the new Standards Edition for Singapore and liked it? I was considering doing this for my older daughter who will be doing Hearts Through Time this coming year. There isn't an actual guide in the Teacher's guide for math anyway (as far as activities) right?

Thanks,
Kyle Thomas

I started off with it, but in the levels we were using it didn't work. Money was not US making it difficult to teach, measurements were not either so I had to supplement, and there were some other things that made the US edition just work better for us. There were things we needed to add or skip that wasn't a problem in the US ed.

HTH!

Kyle,

The schedules included in the Appendix of CTC are for the U.S Editions 3A/3B, 4A/4B, and 5A/5B. :D We still prefer this edition over the Standards Edition.

Blessings,
Carrie
