Questions and advice for DITHOR

I'm going to start DITHOR Level 2/3 with my daughters in the Fall (or sooner if I can't wait that long). I noticed the book packs have all nine genres in the same reading level, but I thought the student book was supposed to spread out over two years. If spread out over two years, should I just order half the genres in a level 2 reading level and the other half of the genres in a level 3 reading level?

How many days a week would DITHOR need to be done to complete in one year and how many days a week if completing in two years? I like the idea of doing all 9 genres in one year, but I don't want it to be overwhelming. I thought maybe we could do DITHOR year round (not take a break during the summer) and then we would be able to complete all 9 genres in one year without pushing too hard. Has anyone else done it that way? And if we do it that way, we would need to buy new student books for the second year, right?

For our first year in Level 2/3, we did DITHOR 5 days a week for 9 months, using a whole book pack and loved that. For our second year with Level 2/3, we did DITHOR about 3 days a week, covering 6 genres, and we really liked that as well. This year, we are doing DITHOR Level 4/5 for 3 days a week and reading 5 books. This has been a good fit too, and it follows the plans in PHFHG. ( I won't do any less than 3 days a week though.) This has been a perfect transition for my ds. Whatever you decide to do, HOD gives permission for you to copy the Student Books for your own family's use, so that need not be something you have to weigh in your decision.
