Plug for The Reading Lesson CDROM

We ordered The Reading Lesson as our phonics choice for LHFHG, and I debated in the beginning whether or not to purchase the CDROM to go with it. I finally decided to go ahead and do it, and then was disappointed when my book came, and the disc didn't work with my Mac. I emailed the company that publishes it, and they were so kind and got me a mac disc in the mail immediately. Now that I have it, I can't tell you how much it adds to the program. It has provided wonderful review for my son, who LOVES being on the computer. I think it will also be great intro to the lessons before we start them. We've been working on phonics for a year, and this is the first time it's actually clicked for him. I thought the cdrom would be so much like starfall.com, which is free. But it is so great to have the same words in our lesson, and the program is very well done. Two thumbs up!

I agree! I have started using this also with my 5 year old who is excited about learning to read! I have not used this product before (Phonics Pathways worked well in the past), but am having success and fun with it this year. I give a thumbs up to the whole program and am thankful for the suggestion Carrie!
