WOOOHOOO! I just ordered!

Post by butterfly113 » Mon Mar 23, 2009 11:45 am

We are so excited! I just ordered Preparing Hearts for my ds9 for next fall! He will be in the 4th grade! I can not believe it!
I can just feel an immense peace of how next year will be so smooth and emjoyable! Not so 'workbooky', and tweaked to death by none other than me! Yippee! This year has been good, yet I have realized alot, now that we have a little experience under our belts, and from lots of prayer! :D The Lord has used other circumstances in our lives to reveal some important things to us! I am so excited! Thanks for letting me share, and ramble!

Isn't the Lord good like that?!

I absolutely LOVE HOD...and attribute our successful 1st year homeschooling to this curriculum. It takes the guess work out of it for you, yet is such a FUN curriculum.

Just wait for box day...it's exciting!!!

I'm so jealous   . Congratulations on your order. I'm waiting for our tax return and then I'll be making blazes to the computer to order! :D If you're like me, you'll be eagerly checking everyday to see if it has arrived and then pouring over it all multiple times in anticipation of when you will actually start using it. :D Thanks for sharing your excitement with us!

Yeah!

I'm new to HOD and I'm already feeling that peace that you speak of. I can't believe it's only March and yet I have complete peace about our plan for next year. I can honestly say I've never felt such peace about a curriculum decision before. My only regret is that I didn't find HOD at the beginning of this year. I would have liked to have used HOD with my youngest son this year. He started the year out with another curriculum that was just a terrible fit for him. So, he's been hanging out in my oldest son's curriculum (doing the basics on his level of course) and it's been fine but I can't say that I feel really good about it.

I'm glad you mentioned the peace. That's exactly how I'm feeling and the best part is that I'm feeling more of that every day. I'm not even caring that this is catalog season and all the new catalogs are arriving.

Butterfly,

I'm so excited for you! My hubby and boys are probably packing your order right now!

I can't wait for you to get your books. Peace is such a blessing from the Lord, isn't it! I revel in it when I have it flood over me, so I know what you mean. :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Butterfly, I am so excited for you to get your "BOX DAY"!!!! Those are SOOOO much fun! :D I won't be able to place my order untill July, when my hubby gets his mid-year bonus (unless some extra $ appears in the budget before that! :D )....and I am already chomping at the bit!!!

I love this! I was talking with another mom at my homeschool co-op who is feeling SOOOO overwhelmed about what to do with her daughter for next year. So of course I told her (AGAIN!!! :D ) about HOD! She promised she would come to the website and look it over, and I am also planning to bring in the TM as well as many of (if not all) the books for LHFHG to show her. She would most likely be needing Bigger, but it will still give her a feeling of how great HOD is!!! I did warn her that HOD would look very different to her compared to what she is used to though....she is used to giving her first grade daughter 10+ worksheets daily  and spending up to 3 hours doing school for her. I told her that it might feel foriegn to her but that she would be amazed at how MUCH her daughter is learning AND retaining! (OH! and her daughter is SOOO cute and precious! So is her son!)

I am so thankful that I found HOD starting in Kindergarten......I do wish that I had found it to have done LHTH with my dd, but I do have it for my ds and the younger dd! :D

Oh, I am so excited for you to get your box of Preparing and its goodies! :D We are nearing the end of PHFHG, and what a great year it has been. For me - I need the projects and activities HOD plans the most. I know I would not get these done without the way they are planned in HOD. It has given me an immense amount of peace because I know these are part of the plans already, and they are things my dc and I can get done. If you had a "workbooky" year this year - I think you'll truly love these parts of PHFHG too! Plus too many other things to say here - you're just in for a great year. :D
