What is Singapore like?

Post by Mumkins » Fri Mar 20, 2009 4:42 pm

How would an average lesson go for say a 1st or 2nd grade? How many questions would kids do on their own? How long does a lesson take?

We're doing 2B now...we spend about 5-10 minutes with the hands on activity when scheduled. Then we do a problem or two together, then she completes the rest. Depending on what it is, there might be 3 words problems and 3-10 other problems. It usually takes her 10-20 minutes (depends on if she stays on task). Sometimes, it might take her less than that. It's WONDERFUL!!! In that short time, she is learning so, so much!!
