OT Answers in Genesis

Post by ahngele » Sat Mar 21, 2009 12:07 pm

I just wanted to share this link to Ken Ham's blog

http://blogs.answersingenesis.org/aroun ... ournalism/

My DH is about halfway down,he has a ministry http://creationletter.com and he spoke to the staff of Answers in Genesis on Thursday and we went to the Creation museum. We had a great time, if you ever get a chance to go then take it, even if you are not a creationist you will have a good time. We love the petting zoo. My youngest is a big dinosaur junkie anyway so he was in heaven. Anyway, just wanted to share. :)

The church that we go to is hosting a video confrence of the Answers in Genesis! I'm pretty excited to be able to hear it! There will be a bible study to go along with it! :D

If you go to my blog you'll note that I am an Answers in Genesis fan! :-) That's great that your husband got to speak to the staff. We want to go to the Creation museum. We thought about waiting until our kids are both old enough to really understand it. Of course, knowing me, I'd go every year if I could.

We've been to the Creation Museum. I think it's fabulous. But I would like to go without kiddos next time so I can read all the signs at each exhibit. There is alot to see there, but the kids wanted to keep moving on before I was ready. :D

Well, I tell ya what even little ones would have a good time. Unless they were really scared of dinosaurs, lol. The animatronic dinosaurs are realistic! There is only one that I can think of that is really menacing though. Also they have a storytime that is geared to youngers. Buddy Davis is there sometimes and his kids workshops are fanatastic! He is a nice guy and he and his wife are great with kids. The petting zoo is nice too, animals are really gentle, the camel gives out kisses! You haven't lived until you've been kissed by camel, LOL. Really there is almost to much to see it all in one day with all the movies, planetarium, and there are always speakers and workshops going on. Honestly I wish we could go without the kids at least once too so I could read the exhibits and attend some of the adult -oriented presentations.

They didn't have the petting zoo yet when we went, that sounds nice. My kids thoroughly enjoyed it, I didn't mean to sound like they didn't. I just wanted more time in each exhibit. :D My parents live near there, so we'll just have to go again sometime.
