I have read the previous thread about future sciences in HOD, yet have a few questions as that post is a little old. I see that in the new 1st year of Ancients: Hearts for Him through Time that A Child's Geography Vol II His Holy Land will be used. Will Vol I be used in other Ancients Years? If not, do you think it would be too much to do Vol I on our own in the Preparing Hearts year, or on our own later??? It just looks so wonderful! ;0)
Also, In the older future science thread many wonderful resources are given as possibilities. Can you share with us a little update as to how things are mapping out? Which year will cover earth science? how about life and physical science... I am curious as to how you are thinking of mapping these out. Curious minds are excited to know... what can I say???

LOL, Butterfly. You liked my review!
We are loving A Child's Geography vol. 1. I'd probably be willing to do it AGAIN in the history cycle, we like it so well.

Thanks Carrie for posting the links, this answers some of my questions, now I just need to decide if I want to do Vol i before we do Ancients in a little over a year, or wait to see if HOD does it in another guide!

Any ideas when that will be closer to a decision??
Daisy,
Yes, your review of Vol 1 was great! We actually already have both volumes. I have just been trying to decide when to use them. Now I need to decide whether I want to do Vol 1 before Ancients... or wait to see if it is used in another year! sigh... the anticipation!

No firm decisions on that one anytime soon. I really need to dig into all of the available resources for Earth science and see what is the best of the best. I do love A Child's Geography Vol. I, but we need to weigh whether it could be read independently by the student for science, or whether there would be enough time in the schedule for the parent to read it aloud as part of the science. There's too many good resources and too little time, isn't there!
Daisy, I'm so glad that you are enjoying it! I'm sure you'll love the Geography of the Bible Lands too. Happy reading!

Ditto here. We loved it too and there is so much in there another round would be a good thing.
