What will I need for Beyond?

Aside from the books Carrie sells, what will I need? I mean like notes books and other supplies I'll need. I'm not familar with classical or CM, but I know there's notbooking. How many books or binders or whatever not listed in the catalog would each child require? I'm trying to figure out storage ideas.

Hmmm, I'll look in the Beyond manual and see if it mentioned anything. Off hand, I can think of a 3 ring notebook to hold their papers and a index card box with cards. Can't think of much else.

OK, Carrie says in the Introduction to Beyond that you will need
A World Map or Globe
A Map of the USA
A composition book or loose leaf paper for Copywork

And you will need
Index Cards and a card box for Spelling
a 3 ring binder for miscellaneous papers.


That's about it other than normal everyday stuff like a ruler and access to art supplies.

Thanks for that hmm anyone know where I can get a map of the USA?
- Delighted to have used LHTH,LHFHG and Beyond, Bigger , Preparing and DITHOR
currently Using
LHTH slowly with my 2 year old
Starting Bigger with my 8 y/o About to add on DITHOR
Finishing Preparing with my 12year with ASD/LD

We ordered copies of world and usa maps (laminated wall size ) from ebay a few years ago. Walmart has had them since then, but I'm not sure if that is an all the time thing or just in July/August back to school season.

I found a very nice set cheap at Christian Book Distributors (cbd.com). The set of the world map and USA were less than $10 shipped last fall.
