Dictionary Bigger

Post by jg_puppy » Mon Mar 16, 2009 2:15 pm

We are a week into Bigger. My dd and I love it. I have noticed that not many of the vocabulary words for history or Bible are in our dictionary. We can look up the words online, but I would like to find a dictionary for her. Does anyone have any recommendations? We have been using a very old Macmillian Children's Dictionary. I am not ready to give her an adult dictionary because the font is so much smaller.

Thanks.

Janet

we just use the webster's dictionary I got when I graduated high school. My son is 8yo and has no trouble reading the font size, might be worth a try if you have one laying around.

Yes, we use a Webster's too. You can get a larger one with a larger font if needed. :D The vocabulary used in older books is certainly a cut above what you'll find in textbooks today, isn't it!
