Spelling can be fun!

Post by Patience » Wed Mar 11, 2009 10:14 am

Well, I said I wasn't going to change mid year, but Spelling Power was becoming a hated subject for my daughter and I saw no reason why it needed to be. So, this week I am doing the weekly plan in Beyond and my daughter really enjoyed it. So nice for me to see as her teacher! So, I'm off to write up all the index cards!

Patience,

I'm so glad that spelling is taking on new life for your daughter. I know that my son had to have a switch too when he was in third grade. We'd done BJU and Spelling Power with him, and a switch to more CM-style spelling/dictation was a breath of fresh air for us too. :D

I'm celebrating with you today! Isn't it amazing how a little change can really make a difference in the tone of the day!

Blessings,
Carrie
