OT update on dh He is OK

Post by water2wine » Tue Mar 10, 2009 2:41 pm

Thank you all for the prayers. My dh went to the cardiologist and they found something that explains his symptoms. He has a disorder called Syncope. It is not life threatening. It is actually having the heart work too well if you can believe that or at least that is what he tells me. But what happens is the signal to the brain gets messed up and you just pass out for no reason. It can be made worse by stress on the body so chances are if he just takes good care of himself it will not be a problem. Just goes to show you that MDs make wrong guesses all the time. I am glad that he got checked out but I could have gone without the mention of the fatal disease. But God was good and He did give me peace that it would just be something we need to know and so it was.

Thank you for your prayers! I very much appreciated them and felt them. :D

God is so good. I am so happy to hear that you have a diagnosis, and that it is not the fatal one...

This is so good to hear! I am very glad that he can deal with this. Does this put any restrictions on his driving privileges if he passes out out of the blue like that?

Praise The Lord! Syncope can be VERY scary. I'm so glad you know what it is and they are doing further testing, but it sounds like something your family can definitely work through..., PRAISE HIM!

PTL! I have been thinking about you and praying! Glad it is not anything fatal! How scary! At least now, even though syncope can be scary, you know what it is and how to take care of him! WHEW! Have a HAPPY day!

water2wine,

I'm praising the Lord for the answers from the cardiologist and for the Lord's arms of protection around your hubby. :D I know as we get older that each of our bodies will have some failings and that it leads us to the Lord's feet even more. God is glorified through our weaknesses and through Him we are strengthened.

Blessings,
Carrie
