One More Singapore Question

Post by Patience » Tue Feb 10, 2009 8:04 pm

I am assuming that some lessons take longer than others, some word problems may take some time. Do you suggest using a timer with Singapore for 20 minutes or so or do you try to complete a set amount of work? (At this point, I don't have the HOD guide that goes along with the Singapore level I would be using) Thanks ladies!

I think you are going to really like Singapore, and when you get your HOD guide, you'll enjoy seeing how it's planned out. We complete the set amount of work as paced out in the HOD guide. We've found each day's work takes about the same amount of time, as that was a consideration in their writing out the schedule. Doing the textbook time as I described in response to your other post has helped us be able to clip along at a reasonable pace each day too. :D
