Clarification about Extension Package in Preparing

Post by deltagal » Sun Nov 02, 2008 3:57 pm

Hi there -

Is the Extension Package in Preparing something your child does in lieu of something or in addition to?

Thanks.

Welcome to HOD. You will love it!

The extension packages are all in addition to the regular program. They are independent reading for older kids or in tha case of Preparing there are two levels. But they are meant to be read by your child independently. HTH :D

water2wine is right! You add the Extension Pack onto the Economy Package if you need to extend the program for an older student. If your student is not a strong enough reader to read the Extension Pack, then you would use the Deluxe Package instead. Third or fourth graders would be the target grades for the Deluxe Package usually. If finances are tight, you could do without these packages, unless you have an older student who needs the extending that the Extension Pack provides! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Okay - so for an older student (11 yo) who is solid on reading I would order the Economy and the Extension, but NOT the deluxe. Is that correct :?:
