Hello!

We just purchased LHTH to use with our 3 year old & it JUST arrived! :D I can't tell you how excited I am to get started with her. In looking through it, this is exactly what she is needing. She wants to "do school" like her big sisters & when she isn't being kept busy, she seems to get into mischief. We are so excited to begin. I just have to order the CD.

Here is a little about our family....
My name is Amy & my dh, John & I have 6 girls. They are: 14, 11, 8, 6, 3, and 6 mos. We live in Oregon & have always homeschooled. I wish we knew about HOD when our other children were tiny.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you all & also looking forward to sharing ideas & encouragement. :)

Blessings!
Amy

Hi Amy and welcome. We're doing 1/2 of LHFHG and LHTH waiting for when my son will be 3. I think I'll do 1/2 of LHTH when he's 3 and do the rest when he's 4 since he'll be tagging along with his sister most of the time.

Welcome Amy! We are glad to have you join us here at HOD. I have a 2.5 year old son that I can't wait to start LHTH with. He's not quite ready to begin yet. I know you will have a blast doing LHTH with your daughter.

Be sure to check in with your weeks in review. We all love to read how everyone is doing.

Blessings!

Greetings, Amy!

I am also doing LHTH with my ds4. We are enjoying this less is more kind of schooling. I, too wish I had found HOD when mine were smaller, but God knows what we need and when we need it. RIGHT?!

There is not a lot of heavy, intensive, time-consuming activities. Just enough enjoyable, Bible focused snippets of schooling to keep a preschooler engaged and learning. I am amazed at the things my four year old remembers. I was always taught you had to drill and review for kids to get it. But this approach is much more enjoyable for me and him, and he's still learning. YEAH!

And do order the CD. My 4yo sat in the school room with head phones on listening to his Singing Bible Cd while I did school with his brother in Beyond. What a blessing that was. It was quiet (headphones) and I could see what he was doing. :-)

We all look forward to getting to know you better.

In His love,

RuthAnn

Welcome! I have five girls and one boy, my age span is a little different than yours 11-4. I know exactly what you mean about wishing you found HOD earlier with your other kids. We have them all doing it now but we really missed some years of fun. Anyway, glad you are here and welcome! :D
