BLHFHG spelling lists

BLHFHG spelling lists

I see that the BLHFHG mentions two different spelling lists. Could someone share what the difference between the two lists are? This year we are covering a few spelling words each week and I'm just wondering if either spelling list would be appropriate for my DD next year. Thanks!

The lists are on different levels. Like, in unit 3, list 1 includes the words "if, in, hid, sit, him" but list two includes "swim, chip, trip, sick." The manual says that "list one words are typical for first grade spellers. List 2 words are typical for second grade spellers. Eight words on each list are pattern words. The other two words on the list are target words that do not follow the pattern." HTH! :)

Thanks that helps me figure this out. Looks like we'll be able to use the spelling lists provided!
