I ordered!

Post by shera » Sat Jan 26, 2008 11:42 pm

After a lengthy thread and a phone call, I have figured out where to place my ds and I have placed my order. Carrie and I had a wonderful conversation and we determined I should get Little Hearts for the history and science and get the Beyond for the math and LA. This will mean for a few years I will have to juggle 2 manuals but it shouldn't be too bad.

I just had to share :D

Oh Sarah,

I'm SO excited for you! I am hoping to place my order Tuesday. I am having to take my thoughts captive because in my mind if I'm using my credit card what does it matter if I do it today or Tuesday, but in my husbands mind it makes all the difference  (ofcoarse, if you knew how I handled money you would not even question my sweet hubby)

Hurray Sarah! :D I think your plan sounds wonderful, and I enjoyed the privilege of visiting with you on the phone too!

We hope and pray you will enjoy doing our programs with your little ones as much as we do! :D

Blessings,
Carrie

Good for you! (so did I......blush). But my situation was easier. It just looks so much more fun to implement than to have 4 pages of explanations like in MFW's AD. I may still use portions, but we'll see, otherwise I will sell it. I'm really looking forward to the bible/character building. I loved that aspect and it was the cincher for me. It just seemed to fit us.

Now if Mary hurries us and orders..(wink)....we can all get started!!!! LOL!

Yeah! You're going to love it. I am actually looking at the Beyond manual today and seeing about maybe using the LA for my reading delayed child. All this talk got me looking at it. So I may follow you in the juggling. Let us know what you think when you get it and try it. :D

It's not too bad. :D We're using Beyond for everything except Math, and we use Bigger for that. My son is loving the hands on activities to go along with Singapore 2A.

I'm hoping it won't be too bad to juggle. Carrie was indicating I will just do the Left side of the pg for Little and the Right side for Beyond. Of course I will have to continue to do this for a few yrs which might stink for a bit, but it might make for a good break in the day. Do math and LA first take a break and then do history and science. We will have to see. I also order some things from Rainbow Resources, like the Bible reader from MFW, I am hoping I can coordinate that with the history lessons at least a little bit. For handwriting, we are just going to use the memory verse Carrie has picked out in Little. Oh and I got some triangle flashcards to work on math facts since I have heard you have to add drill with Singapore.
