Hi! I was looking at your sample book ideas list for DITHOR (which we are really enjoying, by the way!) and I saw James Herriot's Treasury for Children on the Fantasy Level 4/5 list. I have read it and would consider it more truth than fantasy. I'm just curious - I'm not trying to criticize.
DITHOR has saved my children from endless reading of historical fiction! Thank you!!! We're finishing up the adventure genre this week, and looking to doing either fantasy or mystery next.

DITHOR book list question
Re: DITHOR book list question
Yep, you're right. It belongs on the Level 2/3 list of nonfiction or realistic fiction. James Herriot also has several harder versions that would do well on the 4/5 or 6/7/8 list under the titles "All Creatures Great and Small".
The list is far from perfect and needs updating, but .... in the scope of things needing to be done... is far down our personal "To-Do" List! It still functions, but not perfectly!
Blessings,
Carrie
