HAS ANYONE DOUBLED UP ON LHFHG?

Post by savedbyloveandmercy » Tue Aug 26, 2008 12:23 pm

I've read a couple posts about people doubling up on LHFHG, and I'm wondering what the circumstances were, to see if that would work for us. My son is seven, and this is our first year using HOD (I'm so thankful the Lord led me here) :D , but because of past frustration and discouragement trying to find curriculum that would fit, he has fallen behind, and I'd really like to see him catch up. In my mind, it seems it would be easier to double up on LHFHG, which isn't as time-consuming, and move to Beyond, rather than move gradually and try and catch up in later programs, but those are just my thoughts, and I'd love other advice and opinions! :D Just for information sake, I do have a four-year old son who will be doing LHTH.

Thanks,

Briana

HI Briana! With my first ds we doubled up LHFHG from the mid to end of that school year. We did one day's worth of plans in the morning, then took a break and played for quite awhile. Then we came back and did another day's worth of plans in the early afternoon. It worked out great, and we were able to start Beyond... when I wanted to because he was ready. HTH!

In Christ,
Julie :D
