Today as I was setting up school, I had put the phonics book out (RME) on the table, open to today's lesson, and was getting out the index cards to go along with it, when my daughter looked on the page and read all 8 new words all by herself! All of a sudden I just heard her reading the words right off the page without any prep from me. She just "gets" now how we make the words.

I was so excited I almost started to cry! I am so proud of her. It was just amazing to watch! And of course she was so proud of herself!!!
This was just one of those moments that makes me feel like I'm doing the right thing homeschooling (which is better than the days that we struggle over something and I start to question my capabilities in teaching her

Then as she is coloring her quail in ARFH-K, she starts telling me about how that is the bird that God sent the Isrealites to eat for dinner after they complained about wanting to go back to Egypt to be slaves again because they didn't trust God to take care of them (which was really funny because she was mimicking what she thinks they sounded like). The lessons are really sticking with her!
Thank you Carrie!!! I LOVE HOD!
And my son went poopy on the potty all by himself today too! WOO-HOO!!! We might only have one child in diapers at a time after all!!!

What a great day!
