Homeschooling DD12 with Mono

Post by Jaimejac » Sat Oct 11, 2025 5:09 am

My DD12 has been very ill this last week - including going to the ER for severe dehydration due to hardly eating or drinking for 4 days. After several negative tests (strep, covid, flu, rsv) we are now suspecting mono. She is on Week 31 of RevtoRev. She couldn't do any school last week and now I am considering how to modify school while she recovers (if it is mono, we are still waiting on the test results to confirm). Has anyone else ever schooled a child through mono? I've read all of Carrie's (super helpful!) posts on how she schooled Greyson through his illness and hospital stays - just do what we can when can. But trying to foresee how I can specifically help through the boxes when she is up to doing school. Such as that I might need to read-aloud her books if she is not up to reading them. I'm not sure what else though yet.
