I am starting out my 5 and 6 year olds this year. If someone could confirm that I've got a good curriculum before I place the order, I would appreciate it!
What I have down:
Kindergarten economy package
Reasons for handwriting, K and A (one for each child)
Basic kindergarten package with math
Math with confidence 1, and teachers guide
Learn to read activity book- one for each child.
Does that look okay?
Thanks!
First time ordering!
Re: First time ordering!
Hi Jami!
I saw your post on FB too. I responded there, but I'm going to respond here to encourage you that people DO use and read this message board!
I might suggest a full phonics program in addition to the Learn to Read activity book. And did you have a Bible choice? If the Visual History and new Storytime sets are not in the budget, I would definitely recommend trying to find those at the library or used!
Hope this helps!

Re: First time ordering!
It looks mostly right to me.
The Learning to Read Activity book is new since I used LHFHG, but it looks like Carrie does suggest it first before the phonics program and then the two phonics books before The Reading Lesson. My only question would be if you should start with the two phonics books since your children are ages 5 and 6, and it states The Learning to Read Activity book is for ages 3 - 5. I would suggest calling HOD and clarifying that one possible issue before placing the order.
Like the previous post, it would be good for you to add the Bible and Read-Aloud Storytime books since both are scheduled in the program. Read-Aloud story time was my kids favorite part of homeschooling at those ages!
Lastly, you will want to scroll over to the consumable basket (the last one on shop) and go down to the Do It Carefully and Finding Answers package. Those two books in the basic Kindergarten package are consumable so you will want an extra copy of each so each of your children have their own copy. They are also scheduled in the program.
I hope you have a wonderful homeschool year!

Thankful for Jesus Christ, my DH, our four children, and for homeschooling since 2009.
