help with the abbreviations

help with the abbreviations

I'm not real technical and it took me forever to figure out what LOL meant, so would someone take pity on me and explain
ds
dd
and all the other abbreviations commonly seen on this board, I should probably just ask my nephew and he could explain them all. LOL and no I know that means Laugh out loud!

I can't speak for all of them, but ds and dd are dear son and dear daughter. Dh is dear husband.....

What's funny is I find myself using these abbreviations in everyday life, especially in my mind or other journaling.
