including the final exam (and scored a 91% on it). Hooray! She is so thrilled to be done with it.
(Yes, she is ahead of the schedule.)

Congratulations to your dd! The reward? A strong LA student - and that is something to celebrate for the rest of her life! Strong LA skills carry over into virtually every facet of life. Way to go, dd!

I had to smile as I read your post, as when my oldest son finished English 8 in high school he was thrilled as well (and so was I)! Now that he is doing college-level work, he is thankful every day for his grasp of the written word along with his ability to edit his writing well (which we both attribute to years of Rod and Staff combined with the writing in HOD). He is writing, writing, writing...for his college classes.
Blessings,
Carrie

Reading the Foerster's Algebra post made me realize *that* celebration was even bigger in my daughter's mind. She was beyond thrilled when she finished the Advanced Algebra/Trig text. Definitely. Emphatically! LOL

We are in the midst of Forester's Algebra II, and we are looking forward to finishing it as well! It will be an accomplishment my ds is proud of, as it is challenging and right up his alley. As it's looking like he may be interested in a business major in college, being as strong in math as he can will be wonderful. We too, will celebrate the finish!StillJulie wrote:Reading the Foerster's Algebra post made me realize *that* celebration was even bigger in my daughter's mind.
