IEW-Medieval writing question

Post by faroutback » Tue Aug 25, 2015 6:38 am

Hi, I am afraid something is not clicking for me with this. It sounds like it should be very simple and yet I am not seeing it. The assignments include writing rough drafts...are these to come from the information they just read here in the student workbook or from another source? I am afraid I am probably over complicating this. Thank you for your help.

The rough drafts come from the key word outlines they make of the material they just read in the student book. In the early assignments I am pretty sure they are just rewriting in their own words what is in the student book, but it's been a while since we did RTR.

I found the sample key word outline answers in the teacher's guide really helpful! I referred to them often at first. Likewise, the rubrics were extremely helpful. Also, I just followed Carrie's schedule in RTR's LA box, and I found that naturally divided the writing lessons each day and balanced them well with grammar and literature instruction. HTH!
