I have been reviewing my guides (WG and Rev-Rev) and have accumulated several questions. I am new to HOD.
1. Are there a particular type of pencils/pens you like for writing on the journal pages? My daughter's writing appears so light on the tinted page.
2. Dictation is required several times/week, but I do not see it listed on the lesson plans. How is this scheduled?
3. I cannot find where Stepping Heavenward is listed in the Lesson Plans. Also, are there any examples or more detailed instructions on annotation.
4. I believe I found a typo in the WG book. Unit 1-Day 2 Bible should be pg. IX not XI

Re: Questions
Hi
Dictation is scheduled in the LA box. The devotional is scheduled once weekly, I believe. The appendix and/or introduction should have details on annotation, although sometimes the details are in the first few days of the lessons. Those are the places I would check

2. Dictation is listed in the LA part of the plans. The directions refer you to the Appendix. There are very detailed instructions for dictation in the Appendix, as well as multiple levels of passages.
3. Stepping Heavenward has its own box called "Devotional Study" on the Learning the Basics side of the plans. This box includes detailed directions for annotation. This is copied from the example online:
Read and annotate the assigned pages in one resource below. Use a pencil to annotate, or if your parent does not wish you to mark in your book, use sticky notes on which to annotate instead. An annotation is a way to connect with the text by underlining something you’d like to remember, circling key words, starring an important passage, placing a question mark next to something you wonder about, and writing brief questions, comments, or notes in the margin. Boys should annotate and answer the questions at the end of the chapter too.
4. I am the editor and have made a note of this.
